I've started teaching workshops from home. Each workshop costs $10 and runs for an hour. Particiapnts should wear old clothes. Come to one or come to them all...

School Years 1-3
(Parents are asked to stay for these workshops)

Fish Finger Painting
Paint, paper and fish are the key ingredients for this workshop. Students try their hand at creating fish with finger-paints while the fish move and groove to some very fishy tunes.

Little Monsters Paper Masks
Create a monster mask from paper and other recycled materials. Mask templates can be pre-designed to create any type of creature to fit in with your current curriculum. While creating these marvelous masks students learn about shape, color and form.

Masterful Mosaics
Students learn about this fascinating and ancient art form while creating group mosaics using paper and other colourful items on a large sheet of paper. At the end the large and colourful artwork can be displayed in the classroom. This class can also be taught using see- through materials for window display.

Garden Spirits
Wonder what's lurking in the garden late at night? This workshop explores folk tales, strange stories and making fantastic garden creatures in clay. Sculptures can be kiln fired for a small extra fee or sealed with PVA before painting.

Painting like the Masters - Van Gogh
Take a vase of flowers, bright paint, creative kids and voila! You have a masterpiece in the making. Students learn about the ideas behind Van Goghs amazing painting style and try a still life for themselves.

Years 4-6
(Parents may drop off their children and come back... or stay and play)

Drawing Techniques
Improve your drawing skills, get a bit more realistic, confidant and creative. For best results students should book into all 4 classes.

Pre-historic Clay
Learn how people in pre-history made bowls out of coiled clay and pinch pots. Make and decorate your own piece of the past to take home or display in the class room. Pots can be kiln fired for a small extra fee or sealed with PVA before painting.

Monsters and Angels
Make a set of wearable wings using butterfly, dragonfly or bird wing shapes and colours as inspiration. Using wire, cellophane, coloured card, stockings, glitter and lots more, students make a piece of wearable art totake home with which they can discover their inner monster, angel or fairy.

Mask Making
Create masterful masks by cutting, pasting, drawing and collaging with a huge variety of creative materials. Students learn about symmetry, shape, colour and how different cultures use masks. Each student will take home one or two fabulous creations.

Making an Artist Book
What is a book? Students will create an artistic handmade book using several traditional, and no so traditional, book making techniques. This workshop also explores the idea of what makes a book and looks at unusual books from different cultures.

Intro to Sculpture
Students create an amazing wire and recycled materials creature while exploring shape and form.
