The Text:

Take the left four wheel drive track

once you come to the lightning stump.

Drive about ten minutes at any speed you feel like

then come to a sudden halt.

Walk five paces to the left with bare feet

and pause to smell the bush air.

Close you eyes, throw yourself backwards

and count to ten.

Hit the ground like a feather falling and

spend three hours staring

into the unchanged blue

sky of the dry season.

When you hear the third black cockatoo call

repeat its sounds and close your eyes.

Roll to your side and feel the warmth

of a campfire upon your face.

Look up as the fire sparks glide up

into the night sky and remember me.
